Journalist at heart. Seasoned marketing professional. Lover of pugs.
Trista has been in professional marketing and communications since 1991 working for big-brain companies in biomedical research, process instrumentation manufacturing and telecommunications. From 2000 – 2012, she served as an intermediary in the mergers and acquisitions field, helping business owners with the ownership transition of their companies. Since “retiring” from the broker world, she runs a boutique digital marketing agency providing website design and management, and digital content for high-tech B2B clients.
As founder and editor of the Dallas Lifestyle blog, MommyUpgrade, Trista entertains readers with DIY projects and baking, local events and travel. A pension for pugs and chandeliers, Trista’s no holds barred stories of her experience with Pampered Chef freezer meals and pediatric dietitians are laugh-out-loud worthy. She enjoys working with major brands such as PetSmart, Michaels Stores, Reliant, and Chevy, among others.
Trista is President Emeritus for the DFW American Marketing Association and currently serves on the advisory board for Wilson McLain Plumbing Company, and the PTA Board of Directors for Prestwick Stem Academy. She is the founder of a national crafting group and also serves as a Girl Scout Leader and Destination Imagination Team Manager.
She is married with one daughter (aka, the “Princess Cupcake”) and two bad black pugs. She and her family live in the Frisco, Texas area.
