About Trista
Trista has been in professional marketing and communications since 1991 working for big-brain companies in biomedical research, process instrumentation manufacturing, IT, and telecommunications. From 2000 – 2012, she also served as an intermediary in the mergers and acquisitions field, helping business owners with the ownership transition of their companies. Since “retiring” from the broker world, she runs a boutique marketing agency providing website management and optimization, SEO, branding and digital content for growth-mode small to medium-sized companies.
As founder and editor of the Dallas Lifestyle blog, Tried & True by Trista, (established 2010), Trista educates and entertains busy moms, providing inspiration through reviews and how to’s for DIY projects, food, and family-friendly actives. With a pension for pugs and chandeliers, Trista’s no holds barred stories of her experience with Pampered Chef freezer meals and pediatric dietitians are laugh-out-loud worthy. She enjoys working with major brands such as PetSmart, Michaels Stores, Reliant, and Chevy, among others.
Trista is President Emeritus for the DFW American Marketing Association and currently serves on the advisory board for Wilson McLain Plumbing Company. She is the founder of a national crafting group and also serves as a Girl Scout Leader and has previously spent several seasons as a Destination Imagination Team Manager.
She is married to an incredibly smart CEO and LSU-obsessed football fan, has one very sporty teenage daughter, and two bulldogs that keep Roomba in business. She and her family live in Las Colinas, Texas.
